Even though Aberdaron is just down the road from where I now live, I never tire of visiting the historic and beautiful St Hywyn’s church. Adding to the village’s timeless charm, it overlooks the long, sandy bay serving as a stark reminder of lives lost at sea.
Another favourite village of mine is Llanbedrog, with its leafy walk from the car park to the beach. As you leave the dark woodland area, the colourful beach huts are like hidden treasures waiting at the shore’s edge.

Number 12 – in Edern where you can walk into the village for a drink and something to eat as well as a local shop.
