You don’t have to go far on the Llŷn peninsula to find beautiful scenery as every corner offers a postcard-perfect view. When I’m not working, I seek tranquil landscapes and fresh sea air which rejuvenates my spirit in no time! My favourite drive is turning off in Aberdaron and weaving through the lanes towards Uwchmynydd, past Caffi Ty Newydd, over the cattle grid and then…Wow!! The views towards Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli) are breathtaking with rugged cliffs that plunge into sparkling blue waters. If you are brave enough to follow the concrete road up to the Coastguard’s look out, you will be rewarded with 360 degrees of stunning scenery. On the way back down, I recommend calling into Caffi Ty Newydd for a cup of tea and slice of cake. For an extra special day trip, Bardsey Boat Service operates, when weather permits, from Port Meudwy which you will pass on your way back down to Aberdaron.
For properties with rolling hills, dotted sheep, mountains and glimmers of sea on the horizon, this week’s recommendations are number 13 in Bryncroes and number 46 in Garn Fadryn.
