As we enter August, week 8 is recognising the importance of families and the making of special holiday memories. I first brought my daughter to the Llŷn peninsula when she was 4 years old. My special memories from then are picnics, crabbing at Trefor pier, days out in Pwllheli screaming on the ghost train at the funfair (I loved it!) and, on rainy days, the arcade and leisure centre swimming pool which has a slide! Now aged 26, my daughter got engaged at Penllech beach and she has introduced her fiancé to the wonders of Wales.
So many customers tell me about their stories. One customer has been holidaying on the Llŷn peninsula for 60 years. Grandparents phone up after their grandchildren have pleaded with them to book another holiday…
