HOLIDAY CANCELLATION

The BASIC CANCELLATION COVER which we offer as part of our service to you offers very basic cover. We would therefore recommend that you take out separate travel insurance to protect the whole of your outlay.

Basic Cancellation Cover is not available on all properties, and where this is the case it is clearly stated in the brochure description.

Immediately a booking has been confirmed, in writing, by the Agency, the Hirer becomes responsible for paying the full hire fee.

Our Basic Cancellation Cover allows for the return of part of the monies paid, but only if your cancellation is as a result of:

1. 1 the accidental bodily injury, or illness, or death of the Hirer or any member of the holiday party.
2. 2 the accidental bodily injury to, or illness, or death of any close relative of the Hirer or any member of the holiday party.
3. 3 the hirer or any member of the holiday party being summoned for Jury Service.
   
   

EXCLUSIONS are holiday cancellations due to, or resulting from, known pregnancy or known illness at the time of making the booking, civil disturbance, riot, flood, epidemic, pandemic, Foot and Mouth disease, fuel shortage, “acts of God”, nuclear contamination, terrorism, oil pollution or the like, willfully self-inflicted injury or illness, drug-taking or intoxication, war, redundancy, disinclination to travel, or any other reason not outlined in 1 to 3 above.

The Agency must be informed of any cancellation by telephone and notified in writing by Recorded Delivery within 7 days of the event causing cancellation.  Written evidence, e.g. Doctor’s letters, (originals, not photocopies) must accompany your letter, and must arrive not later than 7 days prior to the start of your holiday.  If your holiday is less than 7 days away,  we will use our best endeavours to re-let the property and, should we be successful in doing so, will, as a goodwill gesture, refund as much of your money as we can, taking account any discounts/incentives we may have to offer to re-let the week(s).

Please note that there is a non-refundable element of £60 per cancelled week.  The Booking Fee is also forfeited. Short breaks are not afforded any cancellation cover.  The decision of the Agents on all claims will be final.
