Situated in a small, quiet cul-de-sac, this bungalow is ideally located for the beach and renowned 26-hole golf course. It provides superior accommodation with tasteful modern décor providing light and space. The accommodation comprises very spacious lounge/diner with cast iron multi-fuel stove, Freeview TV, DVD and CD player; well-equipped fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces, electric fan oven/grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/drier and dishwasher; contemporary bathroom/toilet with over-bath shower; a second toilet/washbasin and three well-appointed bedrooms (one with TV). Duvets provided – no linen. No cot provided but there is room for a travel cot in two of the bedrooms. N.B. Bunks are full size. Economy 7 storage heating available by prior arrangement at £20 per week. All other electricity included in rental. There is a large open-plan garden at the front of the property, but the smaller rear garden is fully enclosed, and therefore, safe for children. Ample parking for cars and boats on driveway. Patio furniture and gas barbecue provided. Highly recommended and, in view of the standard of accommodation, let to careful, non-smoking hirers only. MORFA NEFYN: HISTORY
Situated midway along the north coast of the Lleyn Peninsula, just over a mile away from its larger neighbour Nefyn, lies MORFA NEFYN, a quiet, pretty seaside village which, together with Porth Dinllaen, forms an almost perfect semi circle with headlands at either end and backed by low cliffs. Archaeologists have dated the remains of Trwyn Dinllaen Iron Age Hill Fort, on the headland to the west, at around 100BC, Morfa Nefyn’s earliest known settlers. A walk along the headland today shows little evidence of their existence, (the Fort is obscured by the modern Nefyn Golf Course), but is compensated for by the magnificent views across the bay and towards the mountains of Yr Eifl. The Iron Age settlers certainly knew how to choose their spot!

Morfa Nefyn’s heyday was in the nineteenth century, with coastal trading and fishing being the main industries and the reason behind the village’s growth. Speculation persisted in the early part of the century about the possibility of making Morfa Nefyn the gateway port to Ireland, but it narrowly missed out in a government vote, when Holyhead was chosen instead.

MORFA NEFYN TODAY
One of its main attractions today is the long sheltered sandy beach, which offers safe bathing, boating, water sports and excellent walks across the beach to the picturesque village of Porth Dinllaen and Lifeboat Bay. It has, quite understandably, become a firm favourite family seaside holiday destination for those seeking an alternative to the busier resort of Abersoch.
