Property details No.41. Small, end of terrace stone cottage on the edge of the village, at Morfa Nefyn
|
2 Bed | (1D) (2B) | Sleeps 4 This charming little cottage is situated within a few minutes walk of the coastal footpath, on the edge of the village and is convenient for both Morfa Nefyn and Nefyn beaches. Small but nonetheless comfortable, the ground floor comprises; a fitted kitchen with electric oven/hob, fridge, separate freezer, microwave etc. and a small lounge/diner with electric ‘stove style’ fire, TV/DVD/video etc. Upstairs, there are two fairly compact bedrooms; a bathroom/toilet with overbath shower; and an utility cupboard with an automatic washing machine and tumble drier. With the inclusion in the rental of all bed linen, towels, gas and electricity charges, it will, undoubtedly appeal to couples or the smaller family though we would advise you to check its suitability for toddlers or the less able as the stairs are typical of those found in older cottages - narrow and bend at the top! At the rear there is an enclosed back yard, a small garden with patio furniture and barbecue, and parking space for one car - more parking on road in front of cottage. One small, well-behaved dog accepted by prior arrangement. N.B. The single-storey extension does not form part of the accommodation offered - it is used for storage purposes only. Non-smokers only, please. Pet welcome. 3-night short breaks in price band D at £120. *Short breaks available by phone/email booking only. Reference:201241 Area activities
MORFA NEFYN: HISTORY Morfa Nefyn’s heyday was in the nineteenth century, with coastal trading and fishing being the main industries and the reason behind the village’s growth. Speculation persisted in the early part of the century about the possibility of making Morfa Nefyn the gateway port to Ireland, but it narrowly missed out in a government vote, when Holyhead was chosen instead.
