This unique and historic house stands, surrounded by trees, in the romantic, hidden,
Cynfal Valley, famous for the beauty of its many waterfalls, and for its association
with the ‘Mabinogion’ - a revered collection of Welsh folk stories. Situated in the
heart of the Snowdonia National Park, surrounded by footpaths, one leading directly
to the Cynfal Falls, and with the disused track of the Bala to Blaenau Ffestiniog
Railway running behind the house, this is a paradise for walkers and those who like
to “get away from it all”. The Coed y Brenin mountain biking centre is a 15 minute
drive, and Bala, Dolgellau, and Porthmadog, are all within easy reach. Exposed stone
walls, slated floors, original oak beams showing the cruck construction of the house,
together with a wealth of other original features makes this a truly fascinating
old house. Accommodation comprises: well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge,
freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher etc.; dining room with
massive inglenook and elec. fire; lounge with TV/video, DVD and elec. fire; recreation
room with small pool table, a PlayStation with several games, and an assortment of
games and books; and a downstairs toilet/washbasin. Upstairs there is a newly-fitted
showeroom/toilet, and 4 bedrooms, Electric heaters - electricity included in rental.
Linen provided. Cot, highchair, Moses basket with stand, and a baby walker provided.
