Immediately a booking has been confirmed, in writing, by the Agency, the Hirer becomes responsible for paying the full hire fee. Provided the appropriate fee has been paid, our Cancellation Protection Scheme allows for the return of monies paid, but only if your cancellation is as a result of:
1 the accidental bodily injury, or illness, or death of the Hirer or any member of the holiday party.
2 the accidental bodily injury to, or illness, or death of any close relative of the Hirer or any member of the holiday party.
3 the hirer or any member of the holiday party being summoned for Jury Service.
4 the unforeseen redundancy of the person making the booking or his/her spouse (qualifying for statutory payment under the Redundancy Payment Act 1965) occurring after making the booking and before the hire start date.
EXCLUSIONS are holiday cancellations due to, or resulting from, known pregnancy or known illness at the time of making the booking, civil disturbance, riot, flood, epidemic, pandemic, Foot and Mouth disease, petrol shortage, “acts of God”, nuclear contamination, terrorism, oil pollution or the like, wilfully self-inflicted injury or illness, drug-taking or intoxication, war, or any other reason not outlined in 1 to 4 above.
The Agency must be informed of any cancellation by telephone and notified in writing by Recorded Delivery within 7 days of the event causing cancellation. Written evidence, e.g. Doctor’s letters, (originals, not photocopies) must accompany your letter, and must arrive not later than 3 days prior to the start of your holiday.
If your cancellation is of a last-minute nature, we will use our best endeavours to re-let the property and, should we be successful in doing so, will, as a goodwill gesture, refund as much of your money as we can, taking account any discounts/incentives we may have to offer to re-let the week(s).
Please note that the Booking Fee and Cancellation Protection Scheme Fee are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation by the Hirer. There is also an non-refundable element of £50 per cancelled booking.
If you have an annual insurance policy which is valid for the dates of your holiday, proof of this must accompany
your booking form. It cannot be sent retrospectively.
